Crochet Club

The iSchool Crochet Club is dedicated to teaching the art of crocheting and using that skill to create handmade blankets to be donated to local hospitals, offering comfort and warmth to those in need during challenging times. We believe in the power of community and the impact that small acts of kindness can have on individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. Our mission is to speed warmth and kindness through crochet.
Quiz Bowl

Quiz Bowl is a club for students interested in taking the knowledge gained in high school (academic and beyond) and competing in a team Jeopardy-like setting against other teams of students. Our ultimate goal is to compete with local schools in competitions, which we are in the process of making happen right now.
Journalism

Days/Time Club meets: Thursday 3:30-4:00
The Journalism Club is a student-led/centered broadcast media club, covering campus news and events. Students of all talent levels are welcome. The Club allows students with an interest in journalism, reporting, production, etc. to gain hands-on experience. Students learn what it takes to be part of a production team of on-air personalities, producers, directors, editors, etc. Club members also learn basic reporting skills in creating news stories.
NHS

National Honor Society is an organization dedicated to deserving students who represent the four qualities of Leadership, Scholarship, Service, and Character. The purpose of this organization is to promote worthy leadership and encourage the development of character in our student base at iSchool High University Park. The organization is by invitation only. Eligible candidates will be reviewed during their sophomore and junior years for membership for the following school year. Members are required to do volunteer hours and participate in projects and meetings as required.
National Honor Society is in full compliance with the National Constitution of NHS and maintains active membership with the national organization on an annual basis.
Interact

Interact Club members develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self. The club organizes at least two projects each year--one that helps the school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary club sponsors mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.

iSchools' Student Council are our future leaders, showing firsthand how to be role models to their peers, work within their community at large and assist our PTO with annual events such as Carnival, Talent Show and Prom. Our young group of dedicated students come together and communicate the needs/wants of the student body to the admin team, faculty and staff. They meet weekly to speak about and plan the upcoming events and share in the School Spirit here at iSchool.

This is a social club that welcomes any student who wants to join. Contrary to the name, there is no need for members to know Spanish nor be of Hispanic or Latino descent. All are welcome!

Future Health Leaders Society (FHLS)

This club is for individuals with the desire to learn about and perhaps pursue a future in Healthcare. If you're interested in Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Radiology, Physical or Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Psychiatry, Laboratory Exploration or any of the other disciplines that help both humans or animals - This is Your Club! Volunteer Opportunities are scheduled. Games are played. Prizes are awarded. Seniors have the opportunity to earn a Cord for Graduation.

In scholarship workshops, students are guided through the process of identifying and applying for scholarships. Topics include effective search strategies, utilizing tools like Naviance, GoingMerry, and College Board's Scholarship Search, crafting compelling personal statements, organizing application materials, and meeting deadlines. The workshops also emphasize strategies for tailoring applications to specific scholarships and provide tips for requesting strong letters of recommendation. The goal is to equip students with the skills and resources needed to maximize their scholarship opportunities and make college more affordable.
Red Cross Club

The Red Cross Club is a community service organization dedicated to improving the health and livelihood of the community members they serve. Through volunteer opportunities: donations are collected, first aid administered, care packages are created and individual growth is achieved. Many classes are offered to enhance a Red Cross Club member's skillset. The Club volunteers at Northwest Houston Transitional Care Center and Cypress Assistance Ministries, and joins in community outreach opportunities across Harris County.
